Final dish - Trebisacce

Teacher Roger Øverås and his class "took over" a local restaurant at February 21 st. On this evening they made four dishes, and one of them was the main course we will present in Trebisacce in May.

The school

Our school is located at Vestvågøy; one of the Lofoten islands in the northern parts of Norway. There are aprox. 650 pupils/ students at school, and we offer both vocational training (VET), academic specialization and higher education (navigation courses). During the latest years we have developed and offer open distance learning, created new school offers and we also offer demand-driven education packages for companies and industries.

The branches of study are: Electrical and electronics - Building and construction technology - Resurant trades and nutritional subjects - Health and social care - Sports - Academic specialization - Fisheries and Aquaculture .

Our international experience stimulates us to involve in cooperation projects such as Comenius because it gives us the possibility to become attractive both for future pupils, teachers/staff and potential new international partners.

Furthermore it gives our pupils and teachers the possibility to experience and learn more about European school systems and cultures that are involved in the same teaching-fields as we are.

Participating in this project will hopefully establish good relations to other schools and educational twin groups. This can contribute to the awareness of the possibilities that our institution has both to contribute and participate in international cooperation activities. Thus more of the colleges at our institution will be able to make their own connections to the European society of education.
